Learning Opportunities

The program provides proactive tools and practical knowledge to create an environment that is healthy and respectful for both the student/client and the teacher/educational assistant/caregiver.

Areas covered during the in-service include: proactive risk assessment and management, caregiver/client relationships, communication, understanding and application of emergency safety interventions, post-intervention and self-care.

Who should take the full two-day training? Anyone who has not taken it before or anyone who feels they need the full two-day session.

This training is strongly recommended for administrators, counsellors and learning support teachers.
