In this one-day venture, you will unpack your 3d printer, get practical hands-on training in the use of the software required to get your 3D printer running and the knowledge to integrate it into your classroom. Each person who attends the workshop will take home a Creality K2 Combo 3D printer along with a set of educational resources. The Creality K2 Combo is one of the most versatile, reliable, cost-effective, and upgradable machines in its price point. Not to be outclassed on safety, the Creality K2C comes with one of the industry's most reliable power supplies from manufacturer Meanwell. David Harmon and Greg Theron both have a passion for 3D printing and have supported the Lethbridge Public School Division over the past 6 years, implementing and supporting 3D printing in the classroom. Both presenters prove to be active members of the maker community in which they offer support on many levels (locally and internationally).

David Harmon

David Harmon is a dedicated Network Security Analyst with expertise in safeguarding
enterprise networks and ensuring compliance with security standards. With a strong
background in penetration testing, red team operations, threat detection, vulnerability
management, and incident response, David plays a key role in maintaining secure and
resilient systems. Known for a proactive approach to risk mitigation and a passion for
cybersecurity innovation, David collaborates closely with technical support teams and
stakeholders to deliver robust security solutions.
When not analyzing network traffic or implementing security protocols, David stays
engaged with emerging trends in cybersecurity and enjoys contributing to initiatives that
strengthen organizational defenses.

Greg Theron

Greg Theron is a Senior Technology Professional with the Lethbridge School Division, bringing over 27 years of dedicated experience in the K-12 education sector. His long tenure has provided him with deep expertise in integrating technology to enhance learning and operational efficiency within schools.

Greg is deeply passionate about 3D printing and its potential for innovation and creativity. He actively shares this enthusiasm as the co-host of the popular YouTube channel, 3DMakeIt, alongside David Harmon. Through their channel, they explore various aspects of 3D printing, from beginner tutorials and innovative projects to in-depth hardware reviews, fostering a community of makers.

In this workshop, Greg will draw upon his extensive technological background and hands-on 3D printing experience to guide attendees through practical techniques, educational applications, and the exciting possibilities of additive manufacturing.
